King Cake Macarons for Mardi Gras
Cinnamon Buttercream

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
  1. In a stand mixer, beat the butter with the whisk until light and fluffy.

  2. Add vanilla and continue beating until combined. Scrape down the sides as necessary.

  3. Add cinnamon and powdered sugar and beat until combined.

  4. Add heavy cream and beat for a couple minutes until the buttercream becomes fluffy.

  5. Add buttercream to piping bag and pipe as needed.
